To make the bun dough, heat the milk in a pan, dissolve the yeast in it and add a pinch of salt and sugar.
Place the flour in a bowl, pour in the yeast and milk, cover and leave to rest briefly.
Meanwhile, melt the butter, mix with an egg and a pinch of salt and add to the dough.

Knead the dough thoroughly for about 10 minutes, cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Then knead again briefly and form four balls of the same size. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Separate an egg, whisk the egg yolk with a pinch of salt, brush the dough balls with it and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Leave to rise for another 30 minutes and then bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.

In the meantime, wash the tomatoes, peel the onion, clean the spring onion and cut everything into slices or rings.
Drain the cucumbers, wash and spin-dry the lettuce.

For the patties, mix the mince with olive oil and spices.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions, shape into patties and grill on the WMF Urban Masters grill for about three minutes on each side.
Alternatively, the patties can also be fried in a non-stick grill pan without fat.

After turning the patties for the first time, top each fried side with a slice of cheddar.
Optionally, fry the bacon on the grill or in a non-stick frying pan until crispy.
Cut the freshly baked buns in half, spread with burger sauce and top with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, gherkins and spring onion.
Place the patty with bacon on top - et voilà!
