Crispy Chicken Burger

Ingredients

4 People
  • For the patties:
  • 100 g Unsweetened cornflakes
  • 4 tbsp. Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • Chili powder
  • Garlic powder
  • 600 g Chicken breast
  • 4 tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • For the burgers:
  • 4 Burger buns
  • 8 leaves Lettuce
  • 2 Vine tomatoes
  • 1 Red onion
  • Mayonnaise
  • BBQ sauce of your choice

Preparation

Step 1
Place the cornflakes in a cling bag and crush with a rolling pin. Alternatively, a glass bottle can also be used.
For the patties:
g Unsweetened cornflakes

Prepare three plates: Fill one of each with flour, cornflakes crumbs and eggs. Add a little salt, chili powder and garlic powder to the egg and whisk together.

Then coat the chicken breast. First dredge the chicken in the flour, then in the egg mixture and coat with the cornflakes.

Heat the oil in a cast-iron pan, add the chicken and cook over a medium heat on the grill or stove. Bake the chicken until the core temperature is around 72 °C. A meat thermometer can be helpful here.

Meanwhile, cut the burger buns in half and toast briefly in the WMF Urban Master Grill oven. Rinse and dry the lettuce, cut the tomatoes and onions into thin slices or rings.
For the burgers:

Then spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun, top with lettuce leaves, tomatoes and patty. Top with a BBQ sauce of your choice and place the top half on top.
