Iced Lavender Latte

Ingredients

  • For the syrup:
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 120 ml Water
  • 2 tsp. Dried, edible lavender
  • 2 Sprigs of fresh lavender
  • 1 Vanilla pod, halved
  • 0.5 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • For the coffee:
  • 170 ml Milk
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 Espresso shots
  • 2 tsp. Lavender vanilla syrup
  • Sprigs of fresh lavender

Preparation

Step 1
To make the syrup, place the sugar, water, lavender and vanilla pod in a saucepan and heat over a medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.
For the syrup:
g Sugar
ml Water
tsp. Dried, edible lavender
Vanilla pod, halved
Step 2
Boil for one minute, then turn off the heat and remove the pan from the flame. Leave the mixture to cool completely.
Step 3
Then pass the mixture through a fine sieve and stir in the vanilla extract. Store the syrup in a closed container in the fridge.

Step 4
Fill two large glasses with ice cubes, add the milk and syrup and stir well. Then add the espresso shots and stir. Garnish with fresh lavender and serve immediately.
