Rice balls with red bean paste

Ingredients

  • For the rice balls:
  • 200 g Sticky rice flour
  • 200 ml Water
  • For the bean paste:
  • 200 g Red beans
  • 50 g Sugar (Adzuki)
  • 100 ml Chinese rice wine

Preparation

Step 1
Put the sticky rice flour in a large bowl, add the warm water at a ratio of 2:1 flour to water and stir at the same time. When there is no more dry flour left in the bowl, knead the dough with your hands until it is damp and smooth. Shape the dough into little rice balls. Add some water to the pot and bring to the boil. Add the small rice balls to the boiling water and cook them until they are swimming on the top.
For the rice balls:
g Sticky rice flour
ml Water
Step 2
Wash the red beans and place them in a pressure cooker, then add water and Adzuki sugar. Close the pressure cooker and cook at cooking level 2 for 15 minutes. Release steam from the pot, open and purée the mixture with a mixer. Add the red bean paste, the rice wine and what’s left of the water to the pot and boil for 1 minute.
For the bean paste:
g Red beans
g Sugar (Adzuki)
ml Chinese rice wine

Pour the mixture into a bowl and add the little rice balls.
